As well as teaching, Mark has cultivated a diverse experience from performing live on stages as well as producing, mixing and mastering for artists in the studio. Keven’s deep understanding of rhythm and his ability to inspire others make him a standout instructor. Julie

Vocal and Piano Expert, Multi-instrumentalist

Julie is a highly accomplished music educator with impressive qualifications. She holds an ANZCA Associate Performer Diploma in Modern Singing, Piano, and Theory of Music, and was named the 2022 Australia Prestige Awards' Music Teacher of the Year. Julie is also a certified Badminton Australia and BWF Shuttle Time Foundation & Level 1 Coach.With over 16 years of experience, she owned and managed JAC Music School in Melbourne, offering diverse music lessons to all ages through online, face-to-face, and home visits. She has taught primary and secondary school students and adults. Additionally, Julie worked with the Primary Music Institute and held roles in before and after school care programs.Julie's extensive certifications include a National Police Check, WWCC Check Card, COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate, CPR/AED/Level 2 First Aid/Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificate, and mandatory reporting obligations. As a member of the Victoria Music Teachers Association (VMTA) and the Australian Music Teachers Register (AMTR), Julie brings knowledge, passion, and commitment to her students, fostering their musical talents with confidence and creativity.

Valentino

Valentino has cultivated his guitar-playing skills since the age of three, embarking on his professional performance journey at 16. His primary specialty lies in flamenco guitar, but his expertise spans diverse genres, encompassing both acoustic and electric styles. Beyond the guitar, he is proficient in keyboard, bass, and percussion. His musical knowledge includes composition, arranging, and music production. He has demonstrated this by producing and releasing four albums. Currently, he remains active in recording, production, and teaching, offering session services to fellow artists. He has created and released four albums containing his original compositions. He has also provided session recordings for artists. He has performed live in various venues in Australia and abroad, as well as at public, private, and corporate events. Some of his releases have aired on radio and streaming platforms.

James

Guitar & Drums Expert

James has current and relevant experience as a music teacher at Guitar Village School of Music and, most recently, at iRock Music School. He has taught private and group instrumental lessons in guitar from beginner to advanced levels, as well as bass and drums at beginner levels. Additionally, James was responsible for conducting holiday programs that provided students the opportunity to meet other aspiring musicians and learn to play together in an ensemble format, often culminating in a concert night where up to four groups, led by the teachers, would perform 2-3 songs.

Kyle Nethersole has been working as a voice, guitar, and piano teacher for over 7 years, teaching music to students of all ages (5-50) and across various skill levels. He specializes in jazz, rock, pop, and folk, and also has experience teaching music theory, songwriting, music production, and audio engineering. Teaching is a complementary practice for Kyle, and he customizes each lesson to fit the student’s experience, interests, and goals. Music has brought Kyle immense joy throughout his life, and he is eager to continue spreading that joy at Rising Tones.
