TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Welcome to Rising Tones Music School. Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Terms and Conditions") carefully before using the https://risingtonesmusic.com website ("Service") operated by Rising Tones Music School ("us", "we", or "our").

  1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS: By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

  2. PAYMENT TERMS: You authorize us to charge your payment card on a scheduled basis, as agreed upon during registration, for the services we provide. If you wish to change your payment method or cancel your agreement, you must provide us with a 15-day written notice.

  3. CANCELLATIONS: 

    LESSON CANCELLATION POLICY

    IMPORTANT:
    ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE REPORTED EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH OUR ONLINE FORM AT RisingTonesMusic.com/notify OR USING YOUR STUDENT PORTAL.

  4. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CANCELLATION NOTICES VIA EMAIL, SMS, PHONE OR ANY OTHER COMMUNICATION METHOD. FAILURE TO USE THE DESIGNATED FORM MAY RESULT IN THE LOSS OF ELIGIBILITY FOR MAKEUP LESSONS.

  5. Cancellation / Missed Lesson by the Student:

    1. First Missed Lesson Is Not Charged: Every 60 days, your first missed lesson will not be charged provided you cancel the scheduled class at least 4 hours in advance using your student portal.

    2. Invoice Adjustment: If you meet the above notification requirement, we will deduct the cost of this missed lesson from your next month's invoice.

    3. No Shows or Late Notices: Lessons missed without proper notice or those that are no-shows will not qualify for this option will be charged as normal.

    4. Additional Missed Lessons: Further missed lessons within the 60-day period will be chargeable, and unused benefits will not roll over.


    Cancellation by the Teacher / Rising Tones:

    Scheduled class may required to be cancelled due any of the following reasons:

    Teacher is unwell OR 
    Teacher is away on their planned holiday OR
    Class is scheduled on a public holiday OR 
    Something else beyond our control:  
Student will receive a CREDIT for the amount equal to the cost of this missed lesson. This is based on the assumption that student has already paid for the cancelled lesson. This credit will reduced from your next invoice lowering the amount payable in the next invoice.  Alternatively, a make-up lesson may be offered (instead of the Credit) if it is feasible for both the teacher and the student.
6. Extended Planned Absences: If you anticipate being unavailable for 3 or more CONSECUTIVE weeks (e.g., going overseas),
  1. please pause your membership at RisingTonesMusic.com/pause and specify the start and end dates.
    Note that 15 days written notice is required to pause your membership.
7. CONDUCT: You agree to treat teachers, fellow students, and the school environment with respect, and to arrive on time for lessons. Bullying, discrimination, or any distracting/disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
8. USE OF MEDIA: You grant us permission to use photos or videos taken during the lessons, concert rehearsals and actual concerts for promotional use on our website and other marketing channels.
9. PERSONAL PROPERTY: We are not responsible for personal belongings brought onto our premises. We encourage you to keep personal items with you at all times.
10. VIDEO SURVEILLANCE: We use video surveillance for the safety and security of our students, teachers, and staff. By agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge and consent to being recorded.
11. SPECIAL NEEDS: If a student has special needs, it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to inform us in advance so that we can provide the best learning environment possible.
12. LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION: You agree to release us from any liability for physical or property damage incurred while participating in our classes. You agree to indemnify us from any claims or costs, including legal fees, arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.
13. PARENTAL SUPERVISION: Unless invited by a teacher, parents or guardians are expected to remain in the designated waiting area during class sessions.
14. PRIVACY: Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your visit to our site and use of our services, to understand our practices.
15.CHANGES TO TERMS: We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

By using our site and services, you signify your acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, we respectfuly ask you not to use our site or services.
