Lesson Agreement

This Lesson Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between the student ("you") and Rising Tones Institute of Music ("we," "us," "our") as of the date you accept this Agreement.

  1. PAYMENT AND BILLING: You agree to have your card charged on the date of your First Lesson with the pre-agreed amount. Subsequent charges will be made every 4 weeks for the same amount. You understand that you may cancel this arrangement at any time, provided that you give us 15 days written notice. If you want to use a card other than the one that you used to pay your intro lesson, then you need to let us know accordingly BEFORE the date of your first lesson and provide alternative card details.

  2. ATTENDANCE AND CANCELLATIONS:  Students unable to attend a scheduled lesson must notify RTIM using the official “Notify Form” link the only accepted method for reporting forthcoming absences. Each student is eligible for one make-up lesson or credit every 8 weeks, with no rollover of unused entitlements. Absences beyond this quota are ineligible for make-up or credit. Eligible make-up lessons or credits are processed and typically scheduled in the first week of the following calendar month, with students notified via email. For the make-up lesson / credit policy to be applied, the online "notify form" must be filled anytime prior to the missed lesson. RTIM reserves the right to amend this policy. You may pause or cancel your services with us at any time, given a 15-day written notice.

Should you wish to pause or cancel your lessons due to vacations or other reasons, you agree to provide us with 15 days written notice.

  3. PARENTAL SUPERVISION: Parents or guardians are required to wait in the designated waiting area while classes are in progress, unless specifically invited into the class by the teacher. This is to ensure an optimal learning environment for all students.

  5. RESPECT AND CONDUCT: You pledge to respect your teacher, fellow students, and the school environment, and to arrive on time for lessons. You also understand that bullying, discrimination, or any distracting / disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
